Enrolling a New Dog (for existing members)

If you are an existing member seeking to enrol a new dog into a class, please email preschool@croydondogclub.com.au for Puppy Pre-School and secretary@croydondogclub.com.au for all other levels.

Questions?

Your membership covers all aspects of training at CDODC, from puppy pre-school and puppy classes to basic obedience, and then on to further obedience and dog sport classes such as agility, flyball, rally and trial preparation.

All enrolments are completed online.

To join a puppy pre-school class with a puppy 8-12 weeks of age, please follow this link and follow the enrolment procedure.

For all other classes, please monitor the homepage of our website for updates regarding availability. We are experiencing unprecedented demand and only have places available for dogs over 12 weeks of age from time-to-time. We cannot maintain a waitlist due to demand.

When you enrol online, you will need the following:

  • your dog’s current vaccination certificate or titre test results for distemper, hepatitis, and parvovirus (confirmation of bordetella vaccination is not required);
  • proof of your membership with Dogs Victoria (if applicable);
  • proof of government-issued concession (if applicable); and
  • a photo ID document which confirms your current address (for ALL enrolling members).

Please refer to our “fees” page for more information.

New memberships are valid from the date of joining until 31 March of the following year.

Ongoing members must renew their membership by 31 March. Membership will then remain current from 1 April to 31 March of the following year.

Memberships cannot be transferred or refunded except in accordance with applicable laws. Please refer to our Membership Terms and Conditions for more information.

Children between the ages of 12 and 18 may only train a dog if:

  • both the child and their parent, guardian or supervising adult are members of CDODC;
  • a parent, guardian or supervising adult signs a Parental Agreement Form;
  • a parent, guardian or supervising adult attends class with the child at all times; and
  • if deemed necessary, after completing an assessment to determine the suitability of the size and temperament of the dog in relation to the size and age of the child. The assessment will be conducted by a representative of Croydon Dog Club whose decision is final.

Croydon Dog Club emphasises that dog training classes are about developing a bond between one owner and their dog. Unless exceptional circumstances apply, the person handling the dog in class should remain the same throughout the duration of the class. You may not pass the dog from person to person while class is in session.

Please review our Membership Terms and Conditions for more information.

A dual membership attaches a new member to the membership of an existing member. It allows an individual to train a dog currently attending CDODC for a cheaper fee.

Dual memberships may be desirable for a number of reasons. A member may wish to make their partner a dual member so that their partner can bring their dog to training when they are unwell or too busy to attend. A member may also wish to involve other members of their household in the dog’s training so they are familiar with the principles being taught at club. However, Croydon Dog Club emphasises that dog training classes are about developing a bond between one owner and their dog. Unless exceptional circumstances apply, the person handling the dog in class should remain the same throughout the duration of the class. You may not swap your dog from person to person while class is in session.

To apply for dual membership, select dual membership on our online enrolment form.
